media) into one art project.  In December of 2015, I will start walking the Via de Plata.  This is an old pilgrimage route which not only runs from Seville to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, but also follows a possible journey of the Irish language through the Iberian Peninsula.  I will write a daily blog with images and download it to this site and my Facebook page.  The journey, the blog and the experience will be a complete project.  Later, this will serve as a source of inspiration for a series of   paintings and drawings to be exhibited in the Gerard Dillon Gallery, Cultúrlann, Belfast in November 2016.

Welcome to the website.  The images shown represent a lifetime, to date, of work: from the catharsis of adolescence in my native north Belfast, through journeys of self-discovery in Spain and Italy, to the present more lyrical style, where the figurative has been replaced with form, colour and texture. I have always attempted to live my art.  With the benefit of hindsight and life-experience, I am now in the process of uniting the many aspects of my life (making images, the philosophy of walking, mindfulness, Irish language and culture, Spanish language and culture, writing/blogging/social
